This is a darkness like none other.  Where was I yesterday?  Here…enjoying a really great experience:

Dialog In The Dark

Dialog In The Dark

This was AWESOME!!!  If you have an opportunity to go you definitely should go.

After the initial mild panic at how absolutely black it is then it’s the bolder panic of “What’s out there???”.   I took the tour with 11 other strangers and we were communicating fast and furious within minutes.  Talking is necessary.  Forget about personal space boundaries.  Laughing erupts spontaneously.  Curiousity and sharing abounds.  Yea, this is a memory I’ll treasure.

Oh, and why is there braille on the drive-up ATM machines?  Because there are people that can see well enough to drive (with special glasses) but their sight is not good enough to see text….so, braille on the drive-ups.  I bet you wondered about that too, it can’t be just me! :-)

Yea, yea, yea…I said I’d post picks in a week and here it is 2 weeks later.  But at least I’m posting, right?  Cut me some slack I’m working on being productive.

So here’s some pics of my recent trip home.

My evil friend Kathy that I love so dearly took this picture for blackmail purposes.  Here I am in all my bedtime glory.  Ain’t I purty??

Shameless

We stayed the night in a local hotel so we’d be close to our destination for Turkey Day.  Yea, there was some drinking going on.

But even with being tipsy I accomplished knitting.

Sweater for Chica

Sweater for Chica

This is a sweater for Kathy’s fur-baby Chica.  Ummm, Kathy you owe me a pic of Chica styling and profiling in her sweater.  It was stupid simple.  Click the pics to go to the pattern I used.

Next I finished….

Luke's sweater

Chickadee buttons

the Moss Block Baby Cardigan!  This was a very cool knit.  It looks complex but was very simple to construct.  The contrasting button band is because I ran out of Berocco in purple.  I was gifted 2 balls which was just enough to do the body, sleeves and seam it.  I think the green looks good though.  And the chickadee buttons I bought at Elaine’s Yarns in Davison, MI.  Her little shop had some of the coolest buttons (and yarns!).

And then there’s my new favorite pattern…..

Hat for Sheena

Morgan Cap

Morgan Cap

This Morgan was for Sheena.  It’s warm.  And cute!  And, again, stupid simple to knit if you knit fearlessly.  This is the second one I’ve done and I’ll probably make one for myself.  It’s that awesome.

Ok, enough for now….I’ll post the rest later.  See how I’ve wised up?  I didn’t say exactly when ‘later’ is LOL

Welcome….

Welcome to my new blog home.  Vox was ok but I wanted to have a lot more flexibility in what I can do so I moved here to my own host.

Lots has happened in the past year since I last posted.  I won’t bore you with all the gorey details.  Just know that knitting has been accomplished and my skills have gotten better.

I promised some of you (you know who you are) that I would post an update with pictures.  Well here’s the post.  And I’ll get to the pictures before the weekend is done.

YAY! I’m Baaaaaack!
